180 Degrees provides short-term affordable housing in a 37-bed residence, structured programming, and case management.  Clients are supported to secure stable employment, maintain sobriety, and establish new living arrangements. 

Our mission is to assist men, women, and teens in gaining freedom from chemical addictions and other life-controlling problems by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.  We offer effective and affordable programs throughout Minnesota with campuses in Minneapolis, Brainerd, Alexandria, Duluth, Mankato, Rochester, and Buffalo. Northstar Behavioral Health Network specializes in providing comprehensive support for individuals diagnosed with stimulant and opioid use disorders. With over 125 years of service, Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin (VOA MN/WI) is one of the state’s largest and most experienced human service nonprofits. Our Community Justice Division supports around 2,300 individuals each year through two Residential Reentry Centers and a wide array of Amicus services.

Amicus is one of Minnesota’s longest-standing and most successful reentry programs. It supports individuals preparing to leave incarceration and return to the community. Nearly 200 community members volunteer through Amicus, offering mentorship and encouragement to those currently or formerly incarcerated. The program also provides pre- and post- release programming and operates a drop-in center that helps individuals find employment, housing, and other vital resources. Amicus plays a critical role in fostering stability, accountability, and successful reintegration.

Our Residential Reentry Centers serve adult men and women finishing part of their prison sentence in the community. These structured settings help residents rebuild community ties, secure employment, and meet supervision requirements.

The Northwestern Minnesota Juvenile Center exists to provide positive intervention within the Juvenile Justice System for juveniles, family units, and communities. The Center offers legitimate attentive pathways to adulthood for juveniles through equal access to services that are least intrusive, co-educational, culturally sensitive and consistent with the highest professional standards.

Located on 80 acres of beautifully wooded land on the outskirts of Bemidji, NMJC has been serving greater Minnesota since 1973. The Center is licensed through the MN Department of Corrections and incorporates three distinct units within the building as well as community based satellite homes. The Non-Secure Detention Unit, Residential Treatment Unit, and Satellite Homes are Title IV-E eligible. 

Partners Behavioral Healthcare provides substance use treatment, and mental health services to individuals in the community. We are committed to providing a whole person approach to healing and recovery through individualized evidence-based care.

We offer a wide range of treatment options, encompassing both intensive outpatient and outpatient programs, telehealth groups, sponsored recovery resident options, peer recovery support, comprehensive assessments, and mental health therapy. Our specialized focus involves aiding individuals with justice involvement, and we offer a distinctive curriculum featuring Moral Reconation Therapy, Coping with Anger, and Decision Points.

RAIN of North America (RAIN) has offered healthy holistic solutions since 2008 in faith grounded housing that includes a home ownership pathway for adult men & women in recovery or exiting the justice system. Based in the Twin Cities, RAIN continues to serve citizens throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest who have demonstrated a commitment to personal growth as part of their rehabilitation. In a peer model, career training is utilized with life-coaches as a significant element of our reentry strategy, and we have seen successful reintegration into the community when safe and sober homes are combined with employment therapy containing a navigator continuum that embraces faith-based life coaching.

The RAIN network has witnessed aftercare success when residents learn new life skills and participate in local collaborations of employers, churches, landlords – with volunteers and community agencies that assist citizens readjusting to their local neighborhoods, maturing spiritual awareness, assuming personal responsibility for their past actions, and become industrious members of the community. Using this aftercare approach, RAIN has experienced reduced incidents of relapse and recidivism.

RAIN participates in collaborative efforts and attributes many of our accomplishments to these local networks – so we support them whenever possible.  Part of our mission as a faith-based housing nonprofit is to help create networks of welcoming churches, sustainable wage employers, and friendly landlords in six US states and soon, Oaxaca, Mexico. Our vision is to see citizens set free through the application of Biblical principles as they return and become an active, valued community partner. 

At TCR, we assist individuals in poverty on the path to long-term and stable employment. Our work skills training prepares participants with the skills they’ll need on the job. And through internship opportunities, job search assistance, and employment placement services, we work with participants to find meaningful employment.

Our coaches provide one-on-one support, partnering with participants for two years after they’ve landed their new jobs. We focus on long term results – with 78% of our graduates staying at their jobs after two years, based on our ten-year retention rate.

Village Ranch provides a variety of treatment services that incorporate the most current research and best practices.  Our treatment services provide opportunities to develop and enhance skills that promote healthy dynamics for children ages 12-18 years old and their families. Programming consists of residential long term/short term programming, structured outpatient sex offender programming (residents reside onsite), family focus programming, transitional services, adolescent female program, individual and family therapy, CTSS services, foster home placement, vocational programming, and chemical dependency programming.

West Central Regional Juvenile Center located in Moorhead, MN, is a co-ed facility offering secure and non-secure detention, secure residential programming, non-secure evaluations, and transitional living programming.

Programming at the WCRJC is based in cognitive-behavioral theory and has many optional components including individual therapy, substance use disorder programming, medication management, therapy for youth that have sexually offended, etc. Multiple programming components can be offered to youth at the same time. Various community service work and prosocial community-based activities are also offered. The program continues to partner with community organizations to present opportunities for educational, occupational, and life skill development. Residential programming if offered in the secure residential unit, and 30 day evaluations are offered in the non-secure unit. The transitional living program has recently expanded to offer female-specific programming.
